On Tuesday February 19, 2019, Carleton’s MPP Goldie Ghamari presented a petition to provide funding for a new high school in Riverside South to the Hon. Minister of Education, Lisa Thompson. MPP Ghamari met with Minister Thompson at Queens Park to present the petition, which was spearheaded by local Riverside South resident Laurie Rogers, and discussed the next steps required before construction can begin on a high school in Riverside South.

The Minister agreed to schedule a conference call with Laurie Rogers and other key stakeholders in Riverside South to discuss the process going forward.
